Now That’s Yellow


Hard boiled egg from the cafeteria. Perhaps all the other eggs I’ve eaten before were on the muted side, but this one the yolk just popped out at me. It’s an Eggland’s Best egg.

I wonder how bright the yolks are on the local eggs?

I read somewhere that the yolk color can be influenced by the chicken feed. Pretty sure it was marigold that makes bright yolks.

I'm always surprised by how much a hard boiled egg improves a salad.
